Downtown Appleton Fall Events

As summer winds down, the long warm days transform into cool, crisp mornings. The leaves begin to fall and a familiar scene begins to set in. Thereís nothing like Wisconsin during the Fall season, as well as a variety of things to do. Here in downtown Appleton, thereís always something going on, regardless of the season. Letís take a look at a few attractions and events that are happening over the next few months.

Performing Arts Center

If you feel like getting out of the house, but donít want to have to brave the cool weather, a show at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is the perfect answer. With broadway acts like Wicked, The Little Mermaid and Waitress, there is surely something for everybody. If youíve never been to Octoberfest in Appleton, youíre missing out. On Friday at 6pm, the License To Cruise Car Show kicks off the weekend, featuring a variety of classic cars. Fridays events also include live music, great food and much more!

On Saturday September 30th, join one of the largest block parties around! The music starts at 9am, featuring both local and national bands. Arts and crafts, family activities and food vendors will also be available throughout the day. For more information, visit

Downtown Farmers Market

On Saturdays from 8am-12:30pm on College Ave in downtown Appleton, experience the areaís largest Farmers Market with more than 150 vendors. The outdoor season runs through the end of October, giving you more than enough time to shop amongst thousands of other Fox Valley residents. From fresh fruits and vegetables to specialty foods and handcrafted goods, there is something for everyone.
